Meaning – Eye candy is English slang for something or someone that is attractive or pleasing to look at. This expression can be used to describe men or women. Eye candy does have a negative connotation; it is commonly used to describe someone who is not only attractive but also lacks intelligence or depth.
A song that sounds good (but lacks depth) might similarly be called ear candy. A catchy pop song with repetitive lyrics or a funny jingle from an advert could be called ear candy.
Nose candy, however, is a slang expression for the drug cocaine.
Example:
“Have you seen the new reality TV show on Channel 3? It has some amazing eye-candy but the conversation is really dull!”
